Tagging...

So Beth got me into this thing about quirks. I guess these are my quirks.

1. I'm never satisfied with my curtains. I like to change them alot until my husband put an end to it. You see, in Sweden, everybody puts up curtains for different seasons. In our previous house I had 7 different types of curtains in our living room (at different times). Will thought he had walked into the wrong house every time he came home from work.

2. When I cook, I have a tendency to turn on the stove way too hot. This is something that drives Will crazy. I just want things to move along quickly, that's all.

3. Laundry is not my cup of tea. I have a tendency to make it pile up and sometimes I forget to take clothes out of the washer and I have to do the load all over again.

4. I can sometimes obsess about having my house in order. Now, I came from the most disorganized family on this planet, so I didn't learn to be a great organizer. However I try hard on the surface, just don't look in my closets!!

5. I'll have to get back to you on that...my kids are needing me at the moment.

Saying goodbye at the airport

It's always hard to say goodbye especially when you have family living on other continents. You realize more and more the importance of having family close by. The last time I lived on the same continent with all my siblings was 10 years ago. 10 years!!! These past 3 weeks were wonderful to spend with my siblings and they're wives. Manne and Heidi are going to have a baby in November and move to South Africa for a few months. They don't know what the future will hold for them. They have 3 countries to choose to live between. Mickie will go to South Africa in January to work at the Place of Restoration and after that her life can take her many places. To say the least, these past 3 weeks were very special. When we all get together we truly have so much fun.

Manne and Heidi visiting Memphis

It's been wonderful having Manne and Heidi visiting us here in Memphis. We went to Nashville and visited with Bill and Mary Jean (Will's mom and dad). The whole clan also had a great time at Pickwick fishing and swimming in the lake. Manne and Mickie got to play lots of music together. It is so sad that Manne and Heidi had to leave us tonight to head back to Sweden.

Playing piano with Papa

One of Olivia's favorite things to do is playing the piano. Whenever she and Papa get together they play one of her favorite songs that Papa wrote called "Happy Day"
I went on my first road trip with the little ones. Thank God I had my sister, Mickie, with me. She was able to keep me sane by stuffing pacies in Olivia and Aaron's mouth everytime I needed peace and quiet. Granny got to meet Aaron for the first time. She had prayed for a great grandson to carry on the name and sure enough, God answered her prayers.

ABC song

I thought this was qute. Olivia is really trying hard to get the ABC song down.
